Flora Meets Usagyuuun: A Special Collaboration

Last May, during Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful team of Minto Inc., the Japanese character company known for their beloved creations in the digital world and beyond.

As someone who has long admired their brand, I was thrilled to feel an instant sense of alignment, synergy, and shared love for creativity from the very moment I met them.

That spark quickly grew into something special: a collaboration between Flora and Usagyuuun.

Together, we created a mini story about friendship — one that celebrates the joy of connection across cultures, characters, and creators.

In this first chapter, Usagyuuun visited Flora in San Francisco, where they explored the city side by side, sharing smiles and little adventures. From the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and surfing the waves at Ocean Beach, to a hilarious cable car ride and a baseball game at Oracle Park, the story captured the cheerful, playful spirit that both of our worlds embody.

The series begins with Flora writing and mailing a letter to invite Usagyuuun, who quickly hops on a plane to meet her — just in time to celebrate International Day of Friendship on July 30.

And before saying goodbye, Usagyuuun left Flora with a heartfelt invitation: next time, come to visit him.

Working on this project has been such a beautiful experience for me. I feel honored and truly grateful for the way the fantastic teams in Japan and Thailand welcomed Flora into their worlds.

To everyone who worked behind the scenes — bringing ideas, creating content, supporting on social media, and keeping everything smooth and connected — thank you for making it happen.
