In Flora’s Art Room, every Experience (about 1.5/2 hours long) is shaped around a theme, and includes three parts: one INTRO with a creative warm-up activity involving Flora’s adventures, one part of ART APPRECIATION, and one part of ART MAKING. (Read more about it in the previous blog post).
Today's theme is MOMENTS.
1. INTRO.
What was a memorable day in your life? An unforgettable moment you spent with your family or friends? What's a special experience, or a meaningful event, that you'll remember forever? Sketch a scene of it!
2. ART APPRECIATION.
'Going Fishing' by Norman Rockwell (1948) and 'July Fourth' by Grandma Moses (1951) are the paintings I picked for this Art Experience: discuss the styles, the scenes, the stories they tell.
3. ART MAKING.
Getting ready for back to school, this project is about Summer Memories.
A giant (wearable!) camera to capture the best moments of your summer!
Flora's happiest days have been the ones at the beach, and doing Art. :-)
